Nepal’s ACC U19 Asia Cup journey ends with a decisive 10-wicket loss to India

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 12

Nepal has been eliminated from the ongoing ACC U19 Asia Cup 2023 in the United Arab Emirates as it conceded a 10-wicket defeat against India in its final round of match today.

The match was organised at the ICC Academy Oval-2. In its first match, it lost to Pakistan by seven wickets. Similarly, it suffered a 73-run defeat against Afghanistan in its second match.

On the part of India, this is its second win in the match. Earlier, it defeated Afghanistan by seven wickets, and suffered the eight-wicket defeat against Pakistan.

In today’s match, chasing the victorious target of meager 53 runs posted by Nepal, India achieved it in 7.1 overs without a loss of wicket. For the winning team, Aarsin Kulkarni hit the highest 43 runs off 30 balls with five sixes and one four. Similarly, Adarsh Singh made 13.

Priorly, invited to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal made 52 runs in 22.1 overs at the loss of all wickets. For it, no batsman hit double digits score. Hemanta Dhami made the highest eight runs. Similarly, Dipak Bohara contributed seven, Dipesh Kandel four and Subas Bhandari two. Aakash Chand remained unbeaten on four.

For India, Raj Limbani took seven wickets singlehandedly. Likewise, Aradhya Shukla claimed two, and Kulkarni one.
