Gold jumps Rs 600 per tola on Sunday

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 14

The gold prices in the domestic market experienced an increase of Rs 600 per tola on Sunday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FeNeGoSiDA), the current trading rate for fine gold stands at Rs 119,200 per tola, a significant uptick from the Rs 111,600 per tola recorded on Friday.

In a similar trend, standard gold is now being exchanged at Rs 118,650 per tola, compared to Friday’s rate of Rs 118,050 per tola.

Additionally, silver witnessed a modest rise of Rs 20 per tola and is currently being traded at Rs 1,420 per tola.

Notably, the yellow metal had reached a record high of Rs 122,000 per tola on December 28, only to experience subsequent fluctuations with occasional spikes.

The gold price had also gained Rs 300 on Friday, climbing from Rs 118,300 per tola on Thursday.
